Blower Junior: The Electric Replica of the Classic 1929 Bentley

Bentley and The Little Car Company Unveil Blower Junior, an Electric Replica of the Classic 1929 Blower Bentley

Bentley Motors and The Little Car Company have unveiled Blower Junior, an 85 percent scale electric replica of the classic 1929 Blower Bentley. The car is hand-built and adorned with all the details of the original car, including a 48-volt battery powering a 15 kW electric motor, good for an estimated 65-mile range and 45 mph top speed.

Blower Junior is the first fully road-legal car produced by The Little Car Company, and it can be driven in the US, European Union, and the United Kingdom. It is also the first car to be produced under a new partnership between Bentley and The Little Car Company.

“We are delighted to partner with The Little Car Company to bring Blower Junior to life,” said Adrian Hallmark, Bentley’s Chairman and CEO. “This car is a celebration of our heritage and our commitment to electrification. It is also a unique opportunity for our customers to own a piece of Bentley history.”

Blower Junior is based on Team Car No. 2, perhaps the most famous and valuable Bentley of that era. The car was driven by Sir Henry Birkin and won the 1930 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Little Car Company has gone to great lengths to produce an exacting 85 percent scale recreation of the original car. The bodywork is made from hand-beaten aluminum, and the interior features genuine leather and wood trim.

The car is powered by a 48-volt battery that powers a 15 kW electric motor. The motor is mounted across the rear axle and drives the rear wheels. The car has a top speed of 45 mph and an estimated range of 65 miles.

Blower Junior is available in two versions: a First Edition and a standard edition. The First Edition is limited to 99 cars and features unique badging, paintwork, and trim. The standard edition will be available in a wider range of colors and options.

Pricing for Blower Junior starts at £90,000 (approximately $115,000). The car is scheduled to go on sale in mid-2024.
