Renault will provide the first Renault 5 of the 21st century “no later than” December to its customers. A first batch of 1600 cars, available in two finishes and three colors, will launch the vehicle across France.

The art of teasing is no secret to car manufacturers. While Renault has already opened orders for the Renault 5 E-Tech to everyone since May 31, in reality, three configurations divided into two finishes will be accessible to French customers initially. Renault dealers will have the following allocation:

– 340 Renault 5 E-Tech in Techno 52 kWh finish: in “Vert pop” color with a black roof, “red strip” option, winter and parking packs. With included options, these 340 Renault 5 are priced at €30,290 each, with a €4000 bonus deducted.

– 1062 Renault 5 E-Tech in Techno 52 kWh finish: in “bleu nocturne” color with a black roof, “warm titanium” strip, winter, and parking packs. These cars are priced at €30,890 each, bonus deducted.

– 198 Renault 5 E-Tech in Iconic cinq 52 kWh finish: in yellow color with a black roof, equipped with the optional Harman Kardon audio installation. These luxurious versions of the Renault 5 cost €32,890 each, bonus deducted.

The lower finishes, “Five” and “evolution,” will be available later, as will the special edition “Roland Garros” which was already displayed this year. Similarly, as Renault had already announced, the smaller 40 kWh battery is not yet available for ordering, and its official range has not been announced yet. Only the “comfort range” version with the 52 kWh battery for 410 km range is currently accessible. These electric cars will have a single 150 hp electric motor.

All launch versions of the Renault 5 will feature a standard 11 kW bidirectional charger, a 100 kW fast charger, a heat pump, and automatic air conditioning. The cars will also be equipped with adaptive cruise control, a 10-inch central screen, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Renault offers a wide range of options for customization, with 200 different combinations possible for wheels, stickers, and roof strips.

Despite claims of 50,000 to 75,000 orders already placed for the Renault 5 E-Tech, the network actually has 1078 confirmed customer appointments. These appointments derive from 2178 inquiries made online in recent weeks. The cars are expected to be delivered starting December at the latest.
