Smart has unveiled the Small and sporty electric SUV: Smart #1 Brabus. However, we’ll have to wait a little longer before we know its technical specifications.
Since being bailed out by Geely in 2019, Smart has been trying to reinvent itself. His ForTwo, which is now 100% electric, is still on the market, but production of the ForFour ended last December. The smart #1 SUV replaced it, the first model co-designed by Daimler and Geely as part of the partnership.

More attractive version:
The newcomer to the series, which launched last April, is expected to begin deliveries before the end of the year. The SUV may not hit the market yet, but it’s available now in a brand new Brabus version. It was announced in an Instagram teaser in June and is officially unveiled. If you still have to wait to know the tech specs for this release, the Chinese and German brands have already released some images in their press releases.
The silhouette of the Smart #1 Brabus remains the same, but there are some differences from the base version. The style is more muscular, thanks to a small slit in the edge of the bonnet, but the roof is painted red like the mirror caps, a colour also seen on the front blades, with a minor roof spoiler appearance. Also, note the arrival of all-new 19-inch wheels with red brake and His callipers.

Slightly refreshed interior:
The interior of Smart #1 Brabus also benefits from unique treatments while maintaining the look of the standard version. The 12.8-inch touchscreen remains and is paired with a 9.2-inch Full HD digital display and a 10-inch head-up display. However, this variant is notable for the arrival of the Alcantara and leather-covered steering wheel. The seats are suede, and the headrests are embroidered with the Brabus logo. Red stitching and aluminum pedals are also impressive.
It boasts a total length of 4.27m and a wheelbase of 2.75m while maintaining the practicality of an SUV. This model is the brand’s largest model; it has a seating capacity of 5 people, a trunk of 411 liters, and a front flank of 15 liters. Note that the rear seats can be moved 13 centimeters.

A still-mysterious technical sheet:
Unfortunately, Smart did not provide specs for Brabus #1. As a reminder, the standard version displayed 268 hp, which could easily be increased to 300 hp for the sports variant. It is even rumoured to be close to 400 hp. But for now, nothing has been confirmed by the manufacturer. Therefore, we must be a little patient before we know more.
And for a good reason, the Smart #1 Brabus will be officially unveiled at the Chengdu show in China on August 26th. Smart hasn’t revealed a release date or price, but we should know more at this point. This variant will undoubtedly appear next year at around 50,000 euros, but this has not yet been confirmed.
