Volkswagen seems to have (finally) understood that it was time to reposition its electric models. The ID.3 is now available for 33,990 euros after deducting the bonus. The compact will now be offered in four different versions: Pure, Pro, Pro S, and GTX.
A Volkswagen ID.3 for 33,990 euros?
After revamping the ID range with new finishes (ID and Life Max) and price drops on the ID.4 and ID.5, Volkswagen is taking on the ID.3. Until now available in two versions (Pro and Pro S), the compact will now be available in three distinct variants: Pure, Pro, Pro S, and GTX. The German automaker is repositioning its model and finally lowering its price significantly to compete.
In its entry-level version, the Pure, the electric model drops to 33,990 euros (after deducting the bonus). Already available for order, the ID.3 Pure is equipped with a 52 kWh battery. With a 170 hp motor, this version is only offered in the ID finish. It comes standard with many essential features: a 12.9-inch central screen, keyless start, adaptive cruise control, Lane Assist, etc.
In terms of charging power, the ID.3 Pure can handle up to 145 kW in direct current (DC) and its range can reach 388 km WLTP. On paper, it seems that Volkswagen may have finally found the right value for money. The brand states that in addition to these evolutions, the interior ergonomics and the infotainment system (new ID 5.0 software) have also been improved.
The ID.3 Pro S (with the 77 kWh pack) shows a decrease of 1,320 euros. It is now available starting at 42,990 euros, or 38,990 euros after deducting the ecological bonus. With its 286 hp, the ID.3 GTX is officially hitting the roads. It is available starting at 46,990 euros, or 42,990 euros after deducting the ecological bonus. A Performance version will be offered later with 326 hp.
