Zero DSR/X 2023

Zero DSR/X 2023

Zero Motorcycles’ long-awaited new electric tourer Zero DSR/X is expected to be revealed in a few weeks.

Long considered a pioneer brand in electric motorcycles, Zero Motorcycles is seeing the competition gets closer. While Italy’s Energica recently launched the Energica Experia, its first-ever electric trail bike, the American brand is reportedly about to reveal the new Zero DSR/X. This information has been leaked thanks to the American homologation documents.

Positioned in the same segment as the Experia, the  DSR/X will replace the Black Forrest, which has now disappeared from the range.

On the technical side, this DSR/X will not have the same elements as the DSR. Instead, it should inherit the same engine as the Zero SR/F and SR/S, the most recent models in the manufacturer’s range. This one develops 54 continuous horsepower and up to 110 peak horsepower. According to the certification documents, it will offer three battery configurations: 14.4 kWh, 15.6 kWh and 17.3 kWh.

Presented as a 2023 model, the DSR/X should be officially revealed at Cologne or Milan, and the two major international motorcycle shows will close in 2022. Just a few more weeks to wait.
