340 hp in an electric Volkswagen ID.Buzz? It's official!

Like other electric vehicles at Volkswagen, the ID.Buzz now introduces a 340 hp GTX version. After the pumped-up versions of the ID.3 and ID.4 known as GTX, Volkswagen now turns its attention to the ID.Buzz. The modern electric Combi receives a more aggressive front bumper, black wheels, and mirrors. Technically, the ID.Buzz GTX features a 100% electric motor producing 340 horsepower. This power comes from two electric motors, 80 kW at the front axle and 210 kW at the rear axle.

While this van may not transform into a sports car, Volkswagen claims its utility can now tow up to 1,800 kg for the 5-seat version and 1,600 kg for the 7-seat version, compared to 1,000 kg on the more conservative variants. The battery, which can go up to 86 kWh depending on the version (79 kWh for the short chassis), supports a charging power of 185 kW (compared to 170 kW before). This allows the battery to charge from 10 to 80% in less than 30 minutes. Volkswagen has not yet announced the range, which will likely be lesser than the ID.4 GTX. It is estimated to be around 400 km under optimal conditions.

The ID Buzz GTX, available in two lengths, is a great option for large families. With a wheelbase of 3.24 meters in the long version, this small combi can carry up to seven people as well as a lot of luggage. In the 5-seat version, the trunk has a capacity of 1,340 dm3, which can increase to 2,482 dm3 once all the seats are folded down. Available for order at the end of summer, pricing has not yet been disclosed, but the standard ID.Buzz is currently priced at no less than 60,000 euros.

This electric vehicle offers practicality and performance suited for families and individuals looking for a versatile and efficient transportation solution.
