

Donald Trump’s fear of electric vehicles seems to have reached a new level. His recent comments about ‘zero emission’ boats have made a mockery of the presidential candidate.
It has been known for many years that Donald Trump is against electric vehicles. His remarks against ‘zero emission’ cars and his promise to reverse course are evidence of this.
But at a recent rally, the American presidential candidate cracked. Known for his lies and ramblings, Trump started talking about electric boats.
And like any subject he dislikes but lacks knowledge about, the billionaire decided to attack it head-on with fake news and unconventional statements that he is known for.
Trump recounted a meeting – real or not – with MIT, an engineering school. During this exchange, he supposedly expressed concern about the safety of electric boats.
“I told him ‘What would happen if the boat sank under its weight? If you were on the boat, with that extremely powerful battery, but now underwater, and a shark was about 10 meters away?’”, Trump stated, without explaining why the boat would sink.
Nor why this might happen more than with a traditional engine boat, for that matter. But journalist William Reymond revealed that Trump is actually phobic of sharks. Once again, his attack on electric motors lacks any solid foundation…
