The Renault Scenic’s Impressive Performance
After two successful editions, the Association of Auto and Moto Media in France invited several journalists to the 2024 eTrophies. We had the privilege of participating.
With an increasing number of electrified innovations in manufacturers’ ranges, the eTrophies event by the AM-AM is a rare opportunity to bring them together to evaluate them simultaneously. The event gathered 21 new vehicles for two days where 25 jurors, including our team, scrutinized, tested, and compared cars like the Suzuki Swift, Porsche Panamera Turbo e-Hybrid, BMW i5 eDrive40 Touring, and Honda e:Ny1 to determine the best representatives in ten different categories.
Many Surprises
During the event, the new Dacia Duster Hybrid shone by winning the title of the best hybrid vehicle and the Jury’s Choice. The SUV features a new e-Tech hybrid engine from Renault. The Toyota Prius PHEV claimed the top spot in the plug-in hybrid category, showcasing its efficiency in both hybrid and full-electric modes. The Renault Scenic e-Tech, winner of multiple awards including best compact SUV, best electric vehicle, and best family car, impressed with its quality despite minor drawbacks identified during testing.
The event also saw other winners like the Nissan Ariya for best interior, Suzuki Swift for its fuel efficiency, and the Kia EV9 for its performance. Stay tuned for a detailed analysis of the event’s data to be covered in a future article.
