Tesla has just inaugurated a new charging station in France, with two major features. It is the first in the country to have a lounge area and it boasts a world record of Superchargers V4.
Tesla’s charging network is expanding with a new station, special in more than one way. It is located on the A1, one of the busiest highways in Europe, near Roye, almost equidistant between Paris and Lille.
The first unique feature of this station is that it is the first in France to include a Tesla lounge. In this small infrastructure located at the parking area of the charging stations, drivers can grab a bite from vending machines (including one for pizzas). They can also use the restrooms and entertain themselves with a TV area and a gaming console. Tesla has also provided a vacuum cleaner and a tire inflator.
The second unique feature is that this station holds a world record: the largest number of Superchargers V4 in one place. It has 32 of them. This generous provision should eliminate any waiting times, especially as the holiday season begins and electric vehicle drivers will be very numerous on this route this summer, including those coming from the Netherlands.
In France, Tesla has crossed the mark of 200 stations and offers over 2,600 Superchargers.
