Chargemap has revealed its ranking of the most reliable electric vehicle charging networks. Practical before heading out on vacation!
With just a few days left before the summer vacation rush, drivers of traditional vehicles may not worry about gas stations on their route, but for electric vehicle drivers, charging points are a top concern. While route planners integrated into their vehicles are helpful, they do not indicate whether the charging stations are reliable. This is where Chargemap comes in, the leader in electric vehicle charging solutions (location and payment), has recently published a ranking of the most reliable charging networks in France and Europe.
According to Chargemap, one of the main concerns of electric vehicle drivers is knowing whether the charging stations are faulty or out of order. This was indicated by 70% of the 2,900 users surveyed in April 2024. Based on the feedback from 80,000 users and 225,000 ratings on reliability, Chargemap evaluated the various networks across the territories. The study considered factors like ease of use, charging initiation, power delivery accuracy, and the condition of the stations and cables.
A trio of leading networks in France and Europe includes Electra, Tesla’s Superchargers, and Fastned. Electra topped the European ranking, followed by Tesla’s Superchargers and Fastned. In the French ranking, Fastned dropped to third place, giving way to Electra taking the lead spot. Other notable networks include Carrefour, e-Vadea, and Carrefour Market, along with Ionity – supported by major car manufacturers – ranking 7th in both France and Europe. Making the right choice on the holiday road just got easier with these rankings!
