Hyundai introduces its original hybrid minivan in France

Hyundai is now selling the Staria in France, a large 9-seater vehicle with a 215 hp hybrid engine.

It’s not just SUVs in life. Hyundai is proving that by introducing a large minivan in France. This is the Staria, a model that first appeared in 2021.

This large vehicle measures 5.25 meters in length, making it closer to shuttle utility vehicles like the Trafic. The Staria comes standard with a 9-seater configuration (3+3+3). Access to the back is made easier by the motorized sliding doors. Passengers will also enjoy a great view thanks to large windows.

While the overall silhouette may not revolutionize the genre, with a short, plunging hood and a straight tailgate, the front end is quite unique. The main headlights are located low, on each side of a large grille. The hood is accentuated by a LED strip.

The model is equipped with a single hybrid engine. A 160 hp four-cylinder gasoline engine is paired with a 64 hp electric motor. The combined maximum power is 215 hp. It comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a small 1.49 kWh battery. The brand has not yet provided consumption figures.

The base Creative trim is already well-equipped. It includes a rearview camera, wireless phone charger, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, hands-free tailgate, keyless entry/start, adaptive cruise control, and intelligent high beams.

The Executive trim adds a 360° camera system, leather upholstery, heated/ventilated front seats, blind spot monitoring, and sunshades for the 2nd and 3rd rows.

In terms of prices, the Creative starts at €57,400, while the Executive is priced at €61,500.
