Exciting surprise at Goodwood Festival of Speed: MG unveiled the Cyber GTS concept, a 2+2 coupe version of the electric roadster Cyberster, which may go into production.

While MG had initially announced the presentation of its new plug-in hybrid SUV at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, they instead surprised everyone with the Cyber GTS Concept, which was much more intriguing and fitting for the event dedicated to sports cars.

The Cyber GTS is derived from the Cyberster, MG’s electric roadster. It is a coupe version with a 2+2 configuration. Although the manufacturer has mentioned this, the interior of the vehicle has not been revealed.

We can only admire the exterior design, which is already quite impressive as the Cyberster was initially conceptualized to be both a convertible and a coupe.

Features such as the front of the roadster, the side curves, and the lights with a British flag-inspired illumination remain consistent. The iconic scissor doors are also present. The main difference lies in the addition of a solid roof that extends back to the hood break, along with a second side window that forms a point.

No technical details have been disclosed yet, but it is assumed to be similar to the Roadster. However, the coupe version may benefit from the added roof to reduce weight, as convertibles usually require reinforcement for rigidity.

MG has not confirmed the commercial release yet, stating that they will decide based on public feedback. Given the positive reactions expected, the model may enter production in 2025, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the MG B GT.

It is worth noting that the roadster is already available for purchase in the U.S., but its release in other markets is still pending.
