Tesla Cybertruck deliveries have been halted for at least a week due to a windshield wiper motor issue that the company is working to resolve.
The Tesla Cybertruck appears to have a problem with its windshield wiper. Several reports from customers in the United States have noted difficulties during heavy rain.
Some units have already been taken in for service for this reason. One user even experienced a malfunction on the day of delivery. It seems that Tesla is now addressing the root cause of the issue before delivering the Cybertruck.
Customers who were expecting to receive the electric pick-up truck have been met with a disappointing delay. Several have confirmed online that their delivery will be postponed.
We know that other issues have already affected the emissions-free behemoth. A faulty accelerator pedal had previously impacted production overall.
If the windshield wiper issue is indeed the cause of this new delay, it should be resolved quickly. After all, a windshield wiper motor is not difficult to repair, and the company should be able to fix it promptly.
It’s possible that the size of the wiper blade, relative to the massive windshield, is causing problems. This piece, which costs $75, is large and puts the motor to the test.
