Zeekr has just revealed the official photos of its future electric minivan. The Mix is expected to launch in China by the end of 2024. It could also be marketed in Europe in the coming years.
Between Minivan and SUV
Chinese brand Zeekr, one of the many brands owned by Geely, has just published the official photos of the Mix, an electric minivan expected to debut before the end of the year in the Middle Kingdom. The photo shoot seems to have been taken in the city of Chengdu, with its particularly recognizable authentic houses. There are some differences compared to previous prototypes.
In the production version, the door handles are no longer completely flush as they were before. There are also changes in the front lights. The ones on the prototypes were darker. Today, they are clear. Zeekr has not communicated the reasons for these changes. The brand has also not confirmed the number of seats the Mix would have. Confusion still reigns on this matter.
4, 5 or 6 Seats for the Zeekr Mix?
Will it have 4, 5, or 6 seats? Several rumors are circulating, and the manufacturer has not yet confirmed anything. On the platform side, there is no doubt: the electric minivan will use the SEA technology (Haohan-M version) manufactured by Geely. The vehicle will be equipped with a 77 kWh NMC battery developed by CATL for an estimated range of around 550 km. The high-end versions of the Mix also feature LiDAR sensors.
According to Zeekr, this car has been specifically designed for families. It occupies a somewhat strange segment, bridging between minivans and SUVs, although to us, it looks more like a minivan. The car features sliding doors and swiveling front seats. Perfect for long trips. The release of the official photos suggests that the model’s launch should be imminent.
