Kia continues to tell us about its future large electric vehicle during the final phase of vehicle testing. The Kia EV9 is the next large SUV from the Korean brand, zero emissions, which was prefigured by the eponymous concept. But since then, the model has been getting closer to the series, as the various spy photos have shown.
Pending its arrival on the market in 2023, the one presented as the “future flagship of the brand” is subjected to intensive tests. It is, in particular, in Kia’s international Research and Development center in Namyang, South Korea, that its performance, range, technologies, comfort, and, of course, driving dynamics are tested.
To do this, the Kia EV9 is driven on private tracks which reproduce particularly demanding conditions, whether hilly terrain, rough tracks, but also ford crossings in deep water. Road holding is also tested on speed or low grip tracks.
clearly, this is not the only place where the Kia EV9 has been tested, and the prototypes of the future large SUV have also traveled around the world to test themselves in extreme conditions before they can arrive on our roads.
Now we will have to wait a few more months before we see this EV9 based on the E-GMP electric platform and spot it without a disguise. The first public appearance is expected in the first quarter of 2023. A competitor to the Skoda Vision 7S will be announced as a concept in the next few days? Not impossible!
